Canon EOS 7D Mark II a new review

Canon EOS 7D Mark II is a new perspective for photography enthusiast and great for video makers.

After a long awaited by photography enthusiast, and often the gossip and rumors on the Internet, finally your dream camera Canon introduced at Photokina, in Cologne, Jermany, the EOS 7D Mark II. 

Like its predecessor model, which dates back to 2009, this is a top of the range cameras with APS-C sensor, dedicated for professionals or advanced amateurs. The machine needs no introduction: it is the flagship of Canon's APS-C models, and as such offers the performance to arouse the interest of many fans of wildlife and sports photography, for which the purchase of a EOS 1D body would not be justified.

The rate of shooting first, 10 fps, is something that has never been seen on a camera of this catagory. But, above all, is the duration of the burst to make a difference as the EOS 1D, in fact, as the Previous 7D, but the 7D Mark II uses two image processors (in this case two DIGIC 6), which allow according to Canon, to maintain 10 fps for an unlimited number of JPEG or 31 RAW in the presence of memory cards UDMA7. The 7D Mark II is a great camera for profesionals and photography enthusiast. However, you also need to consider the Nikon D750, which has a great chance to match the EOS 7D Mark II.

The good news is that, with the EOS 7D Mark II, you actually feel like you have in your hands a small EOS 1. As for the structure of the body, the 7D MK II shares of course with all the bodies EOS 1 (with a mode dial on the left and the normal controls photographic distributed between the shutter button, the upper display and back).

If the 7D Mark II at 6400 ISO, could really pull off files at the highest level we would find ourselves in front of a camera for the exceptional target sports or wild life for which it was designed. But back to the machine, the 7D MK II is even better than the 1D X.  The 7D Mark II is built for speed: the new camera gains a level of reactivity similar to the EOS 1D X with 10fps against 12 of the top model: a minimal difference, offset by 55 ms shutter lag identical for the two cameras.

The other Canon cameras, for instance, have a higher value. To understand how the new 7D is fast, you can also look at the performance of blast: 31 RAW files will continue against 25 the previous model and most Jpeg files to availability of the card. 

If observed from the aspect of autofocus, you will find the difference on the 7D Mark II with the other predecessors, because functionally, there are differences between this system and the 61-point AF of the EOS 5D Mark III and EOS 1D X. Canon has decided to "cut" more suitable for amateur photographer, so in AI Servo mode and automatic selection of 65 points, you do not have to provide a single point to be used to accurately engage a subject which is then followed by the camera - with the 7D Mk II, the selection is automatic only.

Canon has introduced a new line in the viewfinder for shooting mode, white balance, burst, fire, jpeg / raw, and exposure level. You will also enjoy the advanced features on this new camera. There's also GPS with digital compass: it also supports GLONASS satellite and it works well or how poorly the GPS 6D. The machine integrates a configurable interval timer for time-lapse and Bulb Timer up to 99 hours.

The EOS 7D Mark II provides users with the ability to shoot Full HD 1080p or 720p HD video up to 60p slow-motion allowing full resolution in both codecs ALL-I or IPB with optional built-in time code, exceeding the specifications of other EOS date. Users can also choose between recording formats MOV and MP4 for maximum flexibility. THE mini HDMI port of the EOS 7D Mark II can be used to record full HD uncompressed video using external recorders. Another interesting innovation concerns the video, with the expected introduction of the 50 / 60fps.

The EOS 7D Mark II has CMOS sensor APS-C 20,2MP combined with a Dual DIGIC 6, a system of auto focus Dual Pixels CMOS AF with 65 cross points of detection and an ISO range from 100 to 16,000 (expandable to 51,200. the burst mode allows for up to 10 shots per second. 

If the Canon 6D is equipped with Wi-Fi and GPS, while the 7D Mark II is the only GPS. Then assign a point value to 6D for the sake of completeness and the ability to be remotely controlled by smartphones and tablets.

If you are not a rabid fan of Canon, then you can compare it with the Nikon D750, which is also the most advanced camera of Canon's major competitors. Eventually, the photographer is the most important to make sure a photo or video of the most beautiful results that can be created from a sophisticated camera.
