Nikon has done much to raise the bar in terms of video recording to its reflex entry and midrange. The video quality is very good the D5300, shooting in 1080p at 50 frames per second for a smooth, fluid picture. We do not notice either moiré on the video. The exposure control is preserved on video. You can start recording from any of the PASM modes. The development is continuously available during recording, but you must activate it by selecting AF-F option in the menu.
